A well-know sports commentator, former Moscow Dinamo soccer team player Yuri Tishkov was killed in Moscow in early hours of January 9. He was awarded a prize set up by the Professional Soccer League and Strelets fund for his TV live coverage of soccer games in 2002. Tishkov also headed the Media Union’s Sports Press Guild. His death may have to do with his business activities.
